Adolescents come with a unique set of biochemical, familial, academic and social issues. Themes are common, but no two situations are alike. Being able to relate to a therapist is hugely important to teens, especially if it was not their idea to attend counseling in the first place. Our philosophy puts an emphasis on making the client feel heard, understood and accepted. Teens learn about choices, that they have them and how to make decisions that favor long-term goals as opposed to short-term desires.
